Well, it's been a long time coming, but here's the post on the adopted AfricaBikes from Namibia.
After the bikes were built, Kona's Michelle Gault put her design skills to work on applying stickers to select AfricaBikes. In the case the sticker was too big, Michelle 'customized' it with a pair or scissors.
So, without further delay, below are some of the stickers currently adoring Africabikes as they do their bit in Namibia.
Apologies if your sticker isn't among these pictured. We had dozens and dozens of adopters, and getting all the bikes shot before they went out the door was like herding cats! Rest assured, all the stickers we received are now attached to an AfricaBike as it rolls around Namibia.
Thanks again to all the generous donors. You've set a great example, and more donations keep coming through the door!
The Bicycling crew posted an awesome little video about our trip to Namibia today. Steve explains the BikeTown concept really well, along with what he hopes the result of the project will be. Also, some great comments from Dr. Chirwa.
That singing takes me back...
Some great love today from the Washington Post and Ad Age magazine. Nice!
